The objective of this study is to examine the role of energy resource
management in the economic growth of countries. In the contemporary world,
energy is one of the most important production factors and a fundamental pillar
of economic, industrial, and social development. Improving energy efficiency,
reducing energy losses, and utilizing renewable and non-renewable energy
resources have significant impacts on reducing production costs, enhancing
productivity, and improving macroeconomic indicators. This research employs
a descriptive–analytical method and is conducted through a library-based
approach. By systematically reviewing scientific literature related to energy
management, economic growth theories, and existing research data, the study
analyzes various dimensions of energy management and its relationship with
economic growth. The findings show that effective management of energy
resources—through planning, organizing, consumption control, and the
development of modern technologies—plays a crucial role in increasing
productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing the competitive capacity of the
economy. Factors such as energy security, resource diversification, reduced
dependence on fossil fuels, the development of renewable energy, and improved
energy efficiency are key determinants of sustainable economic growth.
Moreover, improving energy efficiency, reducing energy intensity, and adopting
modern technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things
contribute to economic growth, pollution reduction, and environmental
sustainability. The study concludes that efficient energy resource management
not only prevents waste and reduces national costs but also acts as a primary
driver of sustainable economic growth. Countries—especially developing
ones—require precise planning, energy policy reform, the use of modern
technologies, and reduced dependence on fossil fuels to achieve sustainable
development. Ultimately, optimal energy management is one of the most
essential factors in improving economic performance, industrial development,
and social welfare.
